AikBank supports vulnerable families from SOS Children's Villages for the fifth year in a row

Continuation of a long-standing partnership that demonstrates commitment to improving conditions for children from vulnerable groups

Belgrade, October 1, 2025 - AikBank has donated 65,000 euros to the SOS Children's Villages Serbia Foundation for the "Strengthening Families" program in Niš. This donation is a continuation of a five-year partnership, through which AikBank provides significant support to vulnerable groups through a program aimed at strengthening families so that children can grow up in a safe environment with their parents.

"For us, every child deserves the opportunity to grow up in love, safety and with their loved ones. Our main goal is to provide families with support exactly when they need it most, in order to overcome challenges together. The AikBank donation gives us the opportunity to continue our activities in Niš even stronger and more efficiently. Thanks to this support, we will be able to provide children with a safer childhood and contribute to building a healthier local community. We sincerely thank AikBank for the trust and partnership that gives us new strength for further work on improving the lives of children and families," says Vesna Mraković, National Director of the SOS Children's Villages Serbia Foundation.

"As the largest domestic private bank, our responsibility is to actively participate in building the best possible living conditions in the local community. We believe that the inclusion of all citizens is the foundation of a healthy society and sustainable development, which is why we have been supporting SOS Children's Villages in the family inclusion program for five years, so that every child can grow up safely and have the support and opportunity to realize their full potential. This is the best investment in the future to which we belong," said Petar Jovanović, President of the Executive Board of AikBank.

The SOS Children's Villages Serbia Foundation has been helping children, youth and families for 20 years, and through the work of the Family Support Center in Niš, the Foundation has so far supported 407 families. Through this program, the Foundation helps families overcome life challenges and prevent the separation of children from biological families.

SOS Children's Villages Serbia has been in existence since 2004 and has so far helped more than 116,000 children, youth and adults through various support programs. AikBank's donation will enable a greater reach of outreach activities, psychosocial and educational support to the most vulnerable families in Niš. In addition to this direct donation, AikBank also invites its clients to join in supporting this important organization by donating directly to SOS Children's Villages at AikBank ATMs.

Based on the observed results, the SOS Children's Villages Serbia Foundation confirms that its work brings concrete changes as the majority of children remain with their families, and parents gain independence and strength to care for their youngest. Thanks to the continued support of partners like AikBank, the SOS Children's Villages Serbia Foundation continues to build a safer future for the most vulnerable families in Serbia.
