A total of six schools were awarded IT and digital equipment that will improve work with children in the inclusion program
Belgrade, December 26, 2025 – After a large response and 46 applications from high schools across Serbia, the donation program "For a School with More Understanding", launched by AikBank, has been completed. Based on the quality of the proposed projects and expressed needs, an expert committee selected six schools that will receive a donation in the total value of EUR 50,000, for the purchase of IT equipment, modernization of classrooms and improvement of inclusive education.
The schools awarded were: Secondary Educational Service School "Vukašin Marković" from Kragujevac, Special School with a Student Dormitory "Bubanj" from Niš, Secondary Educational Service School "Radivoj Popović" from Sremska Mitrovica, "Veselin Nikolić" from Kruševac, Secondary Educational Service School "Jelena Varjaški" from Vršac and School for Visually Impaired Students "Veljko Ramadanović" from Belgrade. The program was launched with the aim of supporting secondary schools that educate students from vulnerable social groups and students with developmental disabilities, through investments in digitalization, modernization and the creation of an accessible, modern school environment.
"The response from schools and the quality of applications showed, above all, how committed the schools themselves are to creating conditions in which every child has equal opportunities for learning and development. At the same time, the submitted projects clearly indicate that there is a real need for continuous and additional investments in this segment, so that support for vulnerable groups can bring about sustainable changes. As the largest domestic private bank, we believe that it is our responsibility to continue to actively contribute to building an inclusive society in all communities in which we operate," said Petar Jovanović, President of the Executive Board of AikBank.
Schools will receive equipment donations at the beginning of the year, and the entire project was carried out with the organizational support of the European organization Propulsion.
